WHY JOIN
Support of the LPA is vital to ensure the industry’s continued viability and development. Everyone benefits from the our work, regardless of size or individual need.
The entertainment industry needs the LPA to represent your concerns, and to be the focal point for the industry. We represent employers and industry concerns, and provide a range of services for the industry including industrial representation and resources matters, award and enterprise agreement negotiations, contract advice, policy development, formulation of industry codes, immigration processing, ticketing, copyright, performers’ and producers' rights, training, trade practices, taxation, insurance, Occupational Health and Safety, accreditation etc, and other issues as they arise.
Our endeavours help to ensure that productions are mounted, venues and cinemas are not dark, employment opportunities are created, and disputation is resolved and avoided. We provide a focus and network opportunities, and are the source for policy comment and input on behalf of the industry.
The Association recognises that the profitability of members is influenced significantly by industrial and policy outcomes, and that long-term strategies are necessary to ensure the continued and increasing economic viability of members, and the health of the industry.
